The Second Annual Steinway Gala Concert
 The
second annual Steinway Gala concert which took place in New
York's historic Steinway Hall was a spectacular event, featuring
Columbia University's best musicians. While a few are music
majors, the majority of the players are pursuing degrees in
other fields: biology, Russian, history, Classics, and math
to name a few. These Columbia students are able to achieve
the highest levels of musicianship while simultaneously excelling
in these diverse disciplines. The Steinway concert, which
was followed by a champagne reception, counted among its audience
faculty, students, and alumni--some from as far back as the
class of 1940! The event is held every April.
