Departments of Instruction
Key to Course Listings
This section contains a description of the curriculum of each department
in the College, along with information regarding degree requirements for
majors and concentrators, elective courses, and suggestions about courses
and programs in related fields. The courses listed under each department
are offered during the current academic year and include courses cross-listed
with other departments and undergraduate divisions within the University.
Omitted Designators
In those departments or programs where there are several course designators,
the course designator given in the heading above each grouping of courses
is understood to precede the number for each course in that group. If
the designator for any course is different from the heading under which
it is listed, the designator is printed in full preceding the course number

Two consecutive numbers that are joined with a hyphen indicate a course that
runs through both terms (e.g., HUMA C1001-C1002). The first half is prerequisite
to the second half, unless the course description says otherwise.
An x following the course number means that the course meets in the
fall semester; y indicates the spring semester; x or y means
that the course is offered in both the fall and spring semesters; x and
y indicates a yearlong course.
