The University offers a number of courses in the area of Jewish studies. The following list brings
together a variety of these courses from different disciplines, which should be of interest to anyone
wishing to pursue work in Jewish studies. The list is not intended to be all-inclusive; students interested
in Jewish studies should speak to members of the committee. Full descriptions can be found in the appropriate
department sections of the bulletin. Students interested in a major or concentration related to the
field of Jewish studies should consider one of the majors or concentrations available in the following
departments: Germanic Languages and Literatures, History, Middle Eastern and Asian Languages and Civilizations,
and Religion. Within these departments, a student can plan a major or concentration with Jewish History,
Hebrew Literature, Yiddish Literature, or Judaism as their area of specialization, consistent with departmental
rules.
