The Core Blog is up and making its way through sections of the Literature Humaities syllabus.

The blog is designed for alumni, parents and anyone interested in reading some of the great works of Western civilization without having to worry about grades and rushing across campus to make a 9 a.m. class.

Those interested in joining the conversation should visit The Core Blog. Readers are strongly encouraged to share their thoughts in the comments section and write original essays to be posted on the site.

So far, there is material up about The Odyssey. New content about Oedipus the King is posted frequently, and the blog will start discussing Plato’s Symposium soon. Also included on the blog syllabus are King Lear and Pride and Prejudice.

Visit the site, read along, and share your knowledge of the books and remembrances of reading them the first time.
