The 72nd Alexander Hamilton Award Dinner, honoring Dr. George D. Yancopoulos CC'80, GSAS’86, PS’87, will take place on Thursday, November 21, 2019. Dr. George D. Yancopoulos CC’80, GSAS’86, PS’87 is a biotech leader who built Regeneron Pharmaceuticals into a leading science-driven biotech company that routinely appears on Forbes’ list of the most innovative companies in the world. He was elected to the National Academy of Sciences in 2004 and was inducted into the Biotech Hall of Fame in 2014. The Alexander Hamilton Medal is the highest honor awarded to a member of the Columbia College community for distinguished service to the College and accomplishment in any field of endeavor. It is presented by the Columbia College Alumni Association; James J. Valentini, dean, Columbia College; and Lee C. Bollinger, president, Columbia University.
