What is ‘leadership’? How do I articulate leadership experience and style within a fellowship application? Join URF in a round-table exploration of leadership, both in concept and self-presentation. A record of demonstrated leadership and the potential to continue to lead are two primary criteria that fellowship committees readily seek out in applicants. Yet, ‘leader’ and ‘leadership’ are terms that can be hard to define, making the articulation of leadership incredibly challenging within an application! Throughout this session, you will have the opportunity to identify the traits of a strong leader and learn how to articulate your leadership experience, both in essay format and in your resume. CCE advisors will join this workshop to share strategies that will further highlight your campus and community engagement, reinforcing your demonstrated leadership and your potential to continue to positively impact your community.
