Harrison Hong, a professor in the Department of Economics, has been named as the first John R. Eckel Jr. Professor in Financial Economics.
Former Columbia College Dean and Columbia Law School Emeritus Professor Jack Greenberg CC’45, LAW’48, the legendary attorney who successfully argued many of the nation’s landmark civil rights cases before the U.S. Supreme Court, forming the legal basis for desegregation in America, died on October 12, 2016. He was 91.
University Professor Ronald Breslow, the DeWitt Clinton Professor of History Eric Foner CC’63, GSAS’69 and the Jacques Barzun Professor of History Kenneth T. Jackson will be presented the 2016 Alexander Hamilton Medal on Thursday, November 17.
