Shounan Ho is a senior double
major in Economics and East Asian Studies from Los Angeles, CA.
Her research will examine how the revitalization of the Northeast Chinese
rustbelt has affected the region’s urban working women. She will gather oral
histories of these women through interviews and will analyze the area’s labor
statistics and literature to ascertain sociological and economic shifts. Upon
returning, she will pursue a joint degree in law and business to prepare for a
career that will foster development and corporate responsibility in China’s poorer
regions.
