Academic Calendar, 2007–2008

The following Academic Calendar was correct and complete when compiled; however, the University reserves the right to revise or amend it, in whole or in part, at any time. Registration and change-of-program dates are tentative, and students should consult their registration materials. Fall Term 2007

August
27		Monday, through September 4, Monday. Orientation for entering students.
31		Friday. Change of program by appointment: first-year students.

September
1		Saturday. Change of program by appointment: all students.
3		Monday. Labor Day. University holiday.
4		Tuesday. Classes begin for the 252nd academic year. University Convocation, 5 p.m. at St. Paul’s Chapel.
4-7		Tuesday–Friday. Change of program by appointment.
7, 10		Friday and Monday. Deferred examination dates.
10-14		Monday–Friday. Change of program by appointment.
14		Friday. Last day to add courses.
29		Saturday. Last day to waive health insurance and/or catastrophic insurance.

October
9		Tuesday. Last day for students to drop individual courses.
17		Wednesday. Award of October degrees.
22		Monday. Midterm date.

November
1		Thursday. Last day to apply for February degrees. Applications received after this date will automatically be applied to the next conferral date.
5		Monday. Academic holiday.
6		Tuesday. Election Day. University holiday.
15		Thursday. Last day for students to register for R credit and to change a regular course to a Pass/D/Fail course or a Pass/D/Fail course to a regular course.
12-16		Monday–Friday. Registration by appointment for spring 2008 for continuing students only.
22-25		Thursday–Sunday. Thanksgiving holidays.

December
3		Monday. Last day to apply for May degrees. Applications received after this date will automatically be applied to the next conferral date.
10		Monday. Classes end.
11-13		Tuesday–Thursday. Reading period.
14-21		Friday–Friday. Final examinations.
