The American University in Cairo (AUC) Presidential Internship Program provides recent college graduates with the opportunity to work at the highest levels of an international university, learn Arabic, and experience life in Ciaro.  Selected individuals spend one academic year working at AUC in one of seven high-level administrative offices, learning Arabic or taking other courses at the university, and partaking in the rich intellectual and cultural life of both AUC and Cairo.

Each internship provides a monthly stipend, settling-in allowance, health insurance, faculty housing, other faculty/staff privileges, Arabic classes/tutorials, and local cultural excursions.  Selected candidates are assigned to offices aligned with their academic and professional interests, where they develop substantive skills and experience needed to make tangible contributions to the AUC community.

To be eligible, a candidate must be a U.S. citizen and graduating from an undergraduate degree program during the same academic year as he or she is applying to the internship program.
