The Asian Cultural Council (ACC) supports international dialogue, understanding, and respect through cultural exchange and nurtures the individual talents of artists and scholars in Asia and the United States.  Grants are open to citizens and permanent residents of the United States or citizens and permanent residents of the countries of Asia, from Afghanistan eastward through Japan and Indonesia. Asian individuals seeking grant assistance to conduct research, study, receive specialized training, undertake observation tours, or pursue non-commercial creative activity in the U.S. or among the countries of Asia in the visual and performing arts are eligible to apply.  Americans seeking grant support to undertake similar activities in Asia are also eligible to apply.  Individuals are not funded for activities in their home country, nor is funding available to support undergraduate tuition or study abroad.

See the ACC website for an overview of the wide range of projects supported (under "Grants") as well as for application instructions (under "Applicants").
