As part of its mission to foster the development of southern Africa's future leaders, the Canon Collins Trust offers scholarships for students pursuing full- or part-time study toward an Honours, Masters, or Ph.D. degree in any university in South Africa. Scholarships provide up to R40,000 of support for one year and will be considered for study in any subject.
To be eligible, an applicant must:
- be a national of and resident (or have refugee status) in Angola, Botswana, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, Swaziland, Zambia, or Zimbabwe;
- be in possession of a good first degree or about to graduate in the year of application; and
- be able to demonstrate commitment to the development of his or her country and region.
