The Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute (CHCI) offers scholarships to Latino/a students in the U.S. who have a history of performing public service-oriented activities in their communities and who demonstrate a desire to continue their civic engagement in the future.  There is no GPA or academic major requirement, and all Latino/a students with excellent leadership potential are encouraged to apply.  

Undergraduate scholarships of $2,500 are intended to provide assistance with tuition, room and board, textbooks, and other educational expenses associated with college enrollment.

Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents enrolled full-time in an accredited college or university, and must also demonstrate financial need.  CHCI also expects applicants to have maintained active participation in community service activities and to have strong writing skills
