National Geographic Glimpse is a new multimedia platform devoted to exploring real life abroad. Glimpse features great stories by young Americans living overseas and navigating new cultures. The Correspondents Program is an opportunity for especially talented young storytellers who will be living abroad in Spring 2009.

Glimpse Correspondents:

  • Specialize in writing, photography, or video
  • Are between the ages of 18-30
  • Will be living or studying abroad for at least 10 weeks between August and December.
  • Can commit to a professional editorial process
  • Are willing to talk to locals and seek out new cultural experiences
  • Are U.S. or Canadian citizens, or have lived in the United States or Canada for at least 10 years


Glimpse Correspondents receive:

  • A $600 stipend
  • A professional editor
  • Guaranteed publication in National Geographic Glimpse in print or online.
