Kosciuszko Foundation Year Abroad Scholarships support semester and year-long Polish language studies during the upcoming academic year at the Center of Polish Language and Culture in the World at the Jagiellonian University in Cracow.

Each scholarship includes acceptance to the program, a tuition waiver, and a stipend from the Polish Ministry of Education in the amount of zł1,350 per month for housing and living expenses.  The Kosciuszko Foundation provides an additional $900 per semester.  Airfare to and from Poland is not included.

Applicants must be U.S. citizens and current sophomores, juniors, seniors, or graduate students maintaining a GPA of 3.0 or better on a four-point scale.  Students who have dual Polish citizenship are ineligible.

Selection is based on an applicant’s academic record, motivation for pursuing Polish studies, interest in Polish subjects, and involvement in the Polish-American community.

Candidates must submit a non-refundable application fee with their materials.
