The Peermusic Latin Scholarship is an annual award for the best song or instrumental work in any Latin genre.  Offered through the BMI Foundation, Inc., the competition is open to songwriters and composers who are current students at colleges and universities located in the U.S. and Puerto Rico.  The scholarship consists of a $5,000 cash award, to be used for the recipient's educational expenses.

All candidates must be between the ages of 16 and 24.  All words and music submitted to the competition must be original.
