Full Year

The Postgraduate Scholarship Scheme, which is part of a Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE) initiative, is aimed at widening access to master´s courses within the University of Manchester across all disciplines. There are five scholarships available to U.S. residents (with a value of £10,000 towards the cost of the course tuition fee) and a limited number available to European Union and international candidates (the value of the scholarships will go towards the cost of the full course tuition fee).

Decisions will be made on merit as scholarships will be awarded to applicants who:

  • Are able to demonstrate excellent academic performance.
  • Are are on track to obtain, or who have graduated with a minimum high 2.1 or 1st UK undergraduate degree or overseas equivalent.
  • Have previously studies at a University with a strong academic reputation and ranking.
  • Have the potential to contribute and enrich all aspects of the Masters programme and the diverse academic and cultural profile of the Masters class

Application Process: The scholarships are available on a rolling basis so early application is strongly advisable. Interested candidates should apply directly to the Master's program they desire to join, as there is no separate scholarship application process and all those who hold an offer to study on one of the University of Manchester's Masters programmes, will automatically be considered for the scholarship.
