The U.S.-U.K. Fulbright Commission Summer Institutes are special opportunities for American undergraduates to visit the U.K. for three-, four-, five-, or six-week academic and cultural programs at one of several participating British universities and comparable institutions.
The Summer Institutes will cover the majority of each participant’s expenses. These include round-trip airfare to the U.K., tuition and fees at the host institution, accommodation and meals, and in some cases a small daily allowance.
Candidates must be U.S. citizens over the age of 18 with at least two years of undergraduate study left to complete.
Participants in these programs get the opportunity to experience an exciting academic program and explore the culture and history of the U.K.—candidates will ideally demonstrate enthusiasm for both kinds of experience in their applications.
