Jeff Zaslow College Columnist Awards, offered by the National Society of Newspaper Columnists Education Foundation, recognize three outstanding college newspaper columnists annually who write for U.S. college or university undergraduate newspapers.  The first prize winner receives $1,000 and a trip to the National Society's annual conference; second and third prize winners receive $500 and $250, respectively.

The contest is open to any undergraduates, including seniors, who write by-lined general interest, editorial page, or op-ed page columns.  Sports columns, movie reviews, and other specialized columns are not eligible.  Magazine columnists are also not eligible.
