CHEM BC 1002y Fundamentals of Chemistry
Introduction to the fundamental concepts of chemistry from an electronic and
molecular perspective as well as the macroscopic behavior of matter.
Prerequisites: High school algebra and geometry. Designed as an
introduction to more advanced work for students with little background in
chemistry or weak problem-solving skills. Students who receive a D in Chemistry
2001x may subsequently take CHEM BC1002 without forfeiting credit for 2001x. Does not
count toward laboratory science general education requirement. Enrollment
limited to 30. Lecture: MWF 10:00-10:50. General Education Requirement:
Quantitative and Deductive Reasoning (QUA).
