EESC V1012 Introduction to Earth Sciences II 4 pts.Not offered in 2009-2010. Lecture and lab. Note: V1011 is a prerequisite for V1012. Students who wish to take only the lectures should register for EESC V1412. What is the essence of our planetary environment and what determines the Earth's appearance and behavior? Do we pose a serious threat to the Earth's natural functioning? These questions are pursued with lectures, discussion sessions, readings and a one-day field trip when we peer billions of years into our planet's past and reconstruct immense Earth convulsions.
