The Heyman Center for the Humanities presented the Annual Award for Distinguished Service to the Core Curriculum at the Core Award Ceremony. The 2014 honorees were Holger Klein, professor and chair of the Department of Art History and Archaeology; and the Society for Senior Scholars, whose award was accepted by Douglas A. Chalmers, professor emeritus of political science, special assistant to the provost for faculty retirement, special lecturer in political science, and director of the Society of Senior Scholars, on behalf of the society.
