Fireside chats are an opportunity for Columbia students to engage with Columbia World Projects. In these meetings, Columbia World Projects’ senior staff will outline their role within the organization and their professional path to where they are now, and will offer candid career advice. Our March 2 session will be with Hillary Schrenell, Director, Project Development.

Please join us for this session by registering here.

Hillary joined Columbia World Projects in May 2018. Prior to this, she was Deputy Commissioner for International Affairs for New York City, where she developed new programs to leverage the United Nations as a resource for city residents. Before joining city government, Hillary served as senior advisor to the U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations from 2010 to 2015. A graduate of Dartmouth College and Harvard Law School, Hillary also has experience working on access to justice programs in West Africa and southern Texas. She is a member of the State Bar of Texas and a New Jersey native.

Columbia World Projects is an initiative at Columbia University that mobilizes the university’s researchers and scholars to work with governments, organizations, businesses and communities to tackle global challenges and improve people’s lives.
