The Kyoto Consortium for Japanese Studies(KCJS) Program provides the unique opportunities for undergraduate students to spend and study and semester or academic year in the former imperial capital of Japan. Studies take advanced coursework in Japanese language at the 3rd, 4th & 5th year levels plus courses in Japanese studies. To complement their academic program, students participate in a Community Involvement Project, whether that is volunteer work, joining a student club, or studying a Japanese art with a mentor! KCJS also offers the option for students to live with a homestay family.
KCJS Need-based Scholarships are available. Awards vary between $500-$5,000.
