First-in-Family Programs is holding a special seminar on the dos and don'ts for University Writing (UW) specifically for first-generation, first-year students. Lead by Assistant Dean and UW instructor Justin Snider, this workshop will be designed for first-years in Columbia College, Columbia Engineering, and General Studies, as well as for transfer students who are in their first-year at Columbia. This will be an opportunity to work on your academic writing skills, discuss any anxieties, difficulties, or questions you have about writing in a friendly environment, and also to build first-generation community here at Columbia. Register for the event via the "RSVP" link above!
