One hundred Columbia College students were honored with awards, prizes and fellowships at the annual Columbia College Academic Awards and Prizes Ceremony on Tuesday, May 21, 2013.
Columbia College initiated 95 seniors into Phi Beta Kappa on Tuesday, May 21, 2013.
Columbia College celebrated the accomplishments of the Class of 2013 at a Ceremony on South Lawn on Tuesday, May 21. Tony Award-winning playwright Terrence McNally CC ’60 was the Class Day keynote speaker.
The 2013 Senior Fund raised nearly $26,000, the most of any senior class in Columbia College history. More than 750 students contributed to the campaign.
Columbia College has announced the names of 293 students in the Class of 2013 who will graduate magna cum laude, summa cum laude and cum laude. The students will be recognized at Columbia College Class Day on May 21, 2013.
Professor Nicholas Dames and Boris Gasparov were honored with the 2013 Mark Van Doren Award for Teaching and the 2013 Lionel Trilling Book Award at a ceremony on May 8 at Low Library. The honorees are selected annually by a student committee to honor faculty members for their contributions in the classroom and in print.
