2012 Core Scholars
We are proud to announce our 2012 Core Scholars. Our winners offer dramatic, beautiful, insightful, and sometimes hilarious reflections on the Core.
The Core Scholars Program is designed to analyze, question, dramatize, interpret, and (of course) reflect on the materials of the Core Curriculum. Its goals are to heighten understanding of Core topics, explore connections among Core works, and relate the Core to our contemporary world.
Congratulations to our 2012 Core Scholars!

Thank you from the 2012 Core Scholars Committee
Inspiration comes in many forms. Our exposure to the great works of literature, art, music and science provides a unique opportunity at Columbia to truly engage on a new level. To push boundaries. To try new things.
On behalf of the 2012 Core Scholars Committee, I would like to personally thank all of the students who took the time to offer a new interpretation for a rather frequented discussion. The Committee this year truly enjoyed studying your work.
All the best in your future success.
