To: Department Chair, Institute or Center Director, DAAF, Unit or Program Administrator
Copy: Director of Undergraduate Studies, Director of Graduate Studies
As you know, we have been working closely with departments, institutes, centers and programs to implement the EPPC Guidelines for Course Prefixes and Numbers. Some units have taken this opportunity to reorganize the 4 digit number for some of their courses, e.g. HIST 2000 changed to HIST 3300. The change to the 4 digit number will take effect now for fall ’16 classes. (Please note that the switch to the two character prefix will be coming into effect in July 2016.)
- Instructions for departments that did NOT change their 4 digit course numbers are available here:

Please do not hesitate to contact either Hazel May at hm2135@columbia.edu or Rose Razaghian at rr222@columbia.edu with any questions about this matter or if we can be of assistance.
With best wishes,
Rose and Hazel
