As you start planning for life after Columbia, Backstage Pass returns with a behind-the-scenes conversation focused on navigating your first apartment search. Hosted by Prof. Denise Cruz, Upper Class Area (UCA) Faculty-in-Residence, in conversation with Alice Lesman, former Director of Housing & Referral at Columbia University, this session breaks down how the process actually works, what to watch out for, and how to move forward with confidence.

While the conversation will focus primarily on NYC, the strategies and insights shared will be helpful for students planning to live elsewhere after graduation as well. We’ll cover common pitfalls, realistic timelines, and practical tips to make the apartment search feel far more manageable, whether you’re staying in the city or relocating.

The conversation is designed to be accessible, informative, and grounded in real-world guidance - feel free to share with friends who might be navigating this next step too.

RSVP Here by Monday, March 2 at 12:00 PM (noon).

Location: East Campus, 2nd Floor Lounge (map)
