New Summer Science Research Opportunity: the Herbert Deresiewicz Summer Research Fellowship

The Herbert Deresiewicz Summer Research Fellowship will provide support for a Columbia College, Barnard College, or School of Engineering and Applied Sciences undergraduate student to engage in full-time laboratory research in the Columbia University Departments of Biological Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, Chemistry, or Chemical Engineering.  The Fellowship recipient will receive a stipend of $7,500.

 

Applicants for this Fellowship should submit a cover letter and research plan (two page maximum).  The faculty sponsor of the applicant should submit a letter of support committing to mentor the student.

 

All application materials should be submitted electronically in .doc or .pdf format to Hazel May, Associate Dean of Academic Affairs, hm2135@columbia.edu.  Questions about the Fellowship or the application process should be submitted to Dean May.

 

The deadline for applications is February 21.  The Fellowship recipient will be notified on March 1.
