I am interested in the synthetic organic chemistry with a specific emphasis on (A) the total synthesis of architecturally complex natural products and (B) the development of novel chemical reactions to access these complex chemical scaffolds. I have previously conducted research in the fields of photochemistry and total synthesis and I am currently working on the development of novel silane reagents for the asymmetric addition of crotyl and allyl groups at carbonyls in the laboratory of Professor James L. Leighton of the Department of Chemistry.
