Courteney Ervin graduated from Columbia in 2009 with a Bachelors of Arts in English and Anthropology. Her MMUF research analyzed adult concepts of morality and responsibility within Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events and the role of children’s literature in a broader context. Since then, Courteney has worked in community development as a Mentor Manager at Big Brothers Big Sisters and experienced organic farming in Scandinavia. She is now the Program Assistant to the MMUF Professional Network, established by the Woodrow Wilson National Fellowship Foundation.
