OGP FELLOWSHIPS | Calendar of Events, Autumn 2016

September 29, 2016: Princeton in Africa Program Manager Liz Braden will be on campus to discuss the program, eligibility, opportunities, and application process. Please join Columbia in welcoming her and come learn more about this opportunity! (Thursday, September 29, 5:10-6pm, NWC 602)  

October 4, 2016: Interested in Germany? Join Columbia in welcoming DAAD representatives to learn more about the variety of DAAD study, internship, and research programs available to undergraduates and postgraduate students in both English and German! (Tuesday, October 4, 4:10-5pm, MUD 834)

October 6, 2016: Representatives of the Paul & Daisy Soros Fellowship for New Americans, which provides opportunities for New Americans to pursue graduate school and achieve leadership in their desired field, will be on campus to discuss this fellowship opportunity with all interested students and alumni. (Thursday, October 6, 4-5pm, MUD 825).

October 7, 2016: JET offers recent graduates and young professionals the opportunity to work in Japan as Assistant Language Teachers or Coordinators for International Relations. To learn more, come and speak to a JET Program representative! All are welcome! (Friday, October 7, 2016; 1-2pm, Kent 424).

October 13, 2016: The Said Business School of the University of Oxford will be on campus to discuss the Pershing Square Scholarship and 1+1 MBA Program at Oxford University. Both Recruitment Manager Aidan O’Halloran and Associate Dean Kathy Harvey will be present to answer questions, discuss the academic program, eligibility requirements, as well as the scholarship application process. All interested are welcome to attend! Thursday, Oct. 13, 3-4 pm, MUD 337.

October 13, 2016: Associate Dean of Yenching Academy, John Holden will be on campus for an afternoon discussion of the Yenching Academy Scholarship, application process, selection, and how to craft a competitive candidacy. Please join OGP in welcoming Dean Holden to campus on Thursday, October 13, 4-5pm, EALAC Lounge, 4th floor Kent/Kent 403.

October 18, 2016: Three information sessions this autumn will be presented on the Presidential Global Fellowship. All first-year SEAS, CC, and GS students with an interest in participating in one of the CU Summer Programs Abroad in 2017 are encouraged and welcome to attend one of these events to learn more about the application process, fellowship opportunity, and the variety of summer programs that are applicable to this fellowship! 1st Session: Tuesday, October 18, 3:00 - 4:00 pm (Core Conference Room, Hamilton 202); 2nd Session: Friday, October 28, 1:00 - 2:00 pm (Core Conference Room, Hamilton 202); 3rd Session: November TBA.

October 20, 2016: Join Princeton in Asia representatives and alumni for a discussion of the opportunities, application processes, and Q&A surrounding the fellowship opportunity! All are welcome to attend! (Thursday, October 20, 2016; 4-5pm, EALAC Lounge, 4th floor Kent Hall, Kent 403).

We are organizing an event with the Schwarzman Scholars Program for late November/early December, details TBA.
