Join Professor of English and Comparative Literature Eleanor Johnson for a discussion about her newest book, Scream with Me: Horror Films and the Rise of American Feminism (1968-1980). With an eye toward understanding how and why horror is having such a moment right now, as it did in the 1970s, we’ll think together about what makes horror so powerful and enduring as a genre. We will also examine why it might, in fact, be the right genre for social critique in the 21st century.
