Tuesday, January 26, 2016

Beginning in the summer of 2016, the Columbia University Center for Career Education will be offering a new Columbia Experience Overseas (CEO) program in Seoul, South Korea. CEO Seoul will be the eighth CEO location, joining programs already held in Amman, Beijing, Hong Kong, London, Mumbai, Shanghai and Singapore.

The CEO program allows students to gain full-time work experience over the summer in an international location while also immersing them in new experiences and connecting them with Columbia alumni. Internship experiences are offered in a diverse array of industries through alumni and employer partnerships and provide students with a chance to network with professionals and learn about career opportunities.

CEO program participants attend a pre-program training before beginning their 8-week summer internships. Students live in CCE-provided housing with other CEO interns and are given an alumni mentor throughout the duration of the program.

CEO Seoul will offer students internships in a number of fields and at several of South Korea’s largest companies, such as CJ Corporation and Shinsegae International, as well as some smaller organizations including YuYu Pharma, Inc. and Samoo Architects & Engineers.
