Catherine Espaillat earned her PhD in Astronomy at the University of Michigan in 2009 and received a NSF Astronomy and Astrophysics Post Doctoral Fellowship at the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics (2009-2012). This was followed by the Carl Sagan Fellowship (2012-2013) also at the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics. Dr. Espaillat is now an Assistant Professor of Astronomy at Boston University.
