Neuroscience & Behavior
Description:
Currently, I am working under Dr. Michael Post in the Sulzer Lab. Our present project is investigating the mechanism of chaperone-mediated autophagy and its possible role in the pathogenesis of Parkinson's disease. This project may also help understand the consequences of aggregations of misfolded proteins in other neurodegenerative diseases, such as Alzheimer's and Huntington's disease. Although I am interested in neuroscience in general, I am most interested in studying the potential causes of these diseases. In the future, I also hope to participate in research regarding the development, both biological and psychological, of autism.
