Tune in for a virtual conversation exploring how American sculpture has shaped — and been shaped by — narratives of race, power and national identity. Examining the themes of the Smithsonian American Art Museum exhibition “The Shape of Power: Stories of Race and American Sculpture,” exhibition curator and art historian Karen Lemmey CC’95 will be in conversation with the director of London’s Public Gallery, Nicole Estilo Kaiser CC’20. This event is co-sponsored by Columbia College Women, the Columbia College Alumni Association and the Columbia College Golden Lions.
