Louisa Levy is a theatre major interested in directing, performing, and writing. Most recently, she studied abroad at the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa. During this time she studied the performance style and historical influence of the political protest theatre that dominated the South African theatre scene during apartheid, and gained a better understanding of the South African approach to theatre-making, particularly in regards to "devised" or "workshop" theatre. In her research she hopes to explore the intersection between academia and performance work.
