Having completed a year teaching English in Indonesia as a Fulbright Scholar, I am now pursuing a PhD in Performance Studies at the University of California, Berkeley. My previous research focused on trans-gender communities in South India and their use of street performance as a means of social and political advocacy. Currently I am expanding the questions around this site to include larger inquiries into the question of how the body transforms and authorizes space.
