Description:
I am a tenure-track Assistant Professor of African American Studies at Dartmouth College. My research and teaching examine the history of modern Latin America and the Caribbean, with a focus on nationalism, social movements, and gender. My dissertation, "Shifting Loyalties: World War I and the Politics of Patriotism in the British Caribbean," examines how the dislocations of the First World War transformed colonial identity and imperial policy in the British Caribbean colonies during the first three decades of the twentieth century.
