I am currently working in the Cellular Engineering Lab at Columbia. Our goal is to create cartilage with biochemical and mechanical properties similar to the native tissue via tissue-engineering techniques in order to treat osteoarthritis (OA). I have worked on projects involving the effects of growth factors on human stem cells and improving nutrient diffusion in canine chondrocytes constructs.
