I'm interested in the neurobiology of memory, learning, and brain development, as well as the pathology and treatment of cognitive and psychiatric disorders. I am currently investigating the effect of adult hippocampal neurogenesis and ketamine on the stress response. My previous work has focused on optimizing whole-brain imaging techniques CLARITY, iDISCO, and CUBIC; characterizing the antisense long non-coding RNA at the GAD1 gene; and optimizing thermoelectric generators in an effort to generate renewable energy from excess heat.
