I am interested in molecular and cancer biology as well as environmental science. I’m also interested in the intersections between them, including public health and environmental microbiology. My past research has included: 1) further developing a 3D in-vitro breast cancer model (multicellular tumor spheroids); 2) measuring external gamma radiation on outer atolls of Marshall Islands (former sites of U.S. nuclear weapons testing); 3) evaluating the role of the protein septin 7 in the centrosome cycle, 4) developing an alternative industrial composting process for bioplastics. I am majoring in biology and environmental science in Columbia College.
