A freezing cold night couldn’t stop a beloved Columbia tradition.

BRANDON VALLEJO
Hundreds of students braved low temps to turn out on Dec. 4 for Columbia College’s annual Tree Lighting Ceremony. A tradition for more than 25 years, the evening served up swag and sweet treats, plus performances from Columbia bands and a cappella groups. The countdown began, the lights switched on, and just like that, the 2025 holiday season had begun.
