Atlanta College Day a Hit

Nearly 100 alumni, students and parents, as well as prospective students and their parents, turned out for College Day 2003 at the Westminster School in Atlanta on January 11. Faculty members Robert O’Meally, Zora Neale Hurston Professor of English, and Francesca Polletta, associate professor of sociology, hosted academic sessions, and Dean of Academic Affairs and Associate Dean of the College Kathryn Yatrakis delivered the keynote address. In addition, Associate Director of Admissions Jessica Marinaccio, Associate Deans of Student Affairs Kenya LeNoir and Kathryn Wittner and Director of the Parents Fund Susan Rautenberg spoke about their areas of expertise.

Francesca Polletta, associate professor of sociology, spoke on the topic “Freedom is an endless meeting: Democracy in American social movements.”
