In celebration of the bicentennial of Darwin’s birth, the Wellcome Trust and the BBC produced this dazzling animation to illustrate the current state of scientific knowledge about the origins of species. The video is accompanied by an interactive “Tree of Life” which uses insights from genetics to chart the connections between all forms of life on Earth.
