This is a close-up view of the protoattic amphora described in the previous image. Notice how one of the men is painted in white to be distinguished from the others. painters depicting this scene usually faced an interesting compositional challenge: how to show a normal-sized Odysseus spearing a giant in the eye. Note how different artists have solved the same problem.
