'Ecclesiastes' is the Greek translation of the word Quohelet interpreted officially as a proper name of the writer to whom the text is attributed. The word can translate to 'Son of David', which corroborates the official history of Ecclesiastes, which is that one of the wisest Jewish sages, a king named Solomon, a son of King David's tribe Judah, wrote it late in his life about one thousand years before Jesus Christ was born.
