The School of Athens, “In Our Time” BBC broadcast, 2009.

This 45-minute BBC broadcast explores “The School of Athens”, a famous 16th century painting by the renaissance artist Raphael in which, among others, the figures of Plato and Aristotle are depicted. The painting is used in this broadcast as a vantage point to explore more broadly the central role played by Plato’s and Aristotle’s philosophies during the renaissance.
